Pine Springs has a new home! Kristie Self, author of the historical fiction series, has been signed by Oaktara Fiction
as a new author. Heaven's Garden, the first book in the series, will be published by Oaktara sometime in
the next several months. If it does well, the other books in the series will also be published by Oaktara. The next few months
are sure to bring many changes to Kristie's writing career, but she is ready to meet the challenge. "God has blessed
me so incredibly," she says. "I have always wanted to be signed by a traditional publisher, so this is literally
a dream come true for me. I want to thank the people that have become fans of The Chronicles of Pine Springs. I could
never have done this without your encouragement and support." Stay tuned to this website for more information as it becomes

READ WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE CHRONICLES OF PINE SPRINGS: HEAVEN'S GARDEN
I love to read, and love books with characters you carry with you. This book is
a wonderful gift and a well written novel. --Melody
H., Cameron, TX
It was so good I couldn't put it down!
--Melissa G., Lott, TX
I laughed out loud at certain parts and cried at others. I loved this book! --Jolene
R., Longview, TX
I really enjoyed reading this book.
--Kayla M., Kosse, TX
I love the spiritual aspect of it all. Every time someone in the book feels close to God,
feels repentant, it makes me reflect on my own relationship with Him. And it makes the characters so much more real because
they have problems that we all face on a daily basis, and when they're in a hopeless situation, they find hope in Christ.
I love it!
--James R., Troy, TX

The Chronicles of Pine Springs: Heaven's Garden Reverend John Harris is no stranger to trouble. Plagued by controversy for years, he moves his family
to Pine Springs, Texas, in the hope that they will be able to make a new start. What they discover, however, is that Pine
Springs has more than its share of problems.
Convinced that her step-mother will never be able to understand her,
schoolteacher Amanda Brooks moves out on her own, only to discover that her neighbors are harboring a dreadful secret. Meanwhile,
her brother Robert and his wife Lily suffer a tragedy that threatens to tear them apart. Will their marriage survive?
Rosalynn Dupree is the social outcast of the town. As mysterious and unapproachable as she is beautiful, will anyone be
able to break through the barriers that surround her past?
The citizens of Pine Springs learn much as they experience
both the joy and the pain that life brings. They must each make the choice to follow the path that God has for them. Only
then will they truly be a part of Heaven's Garden.
A historical novel set in the 1870s, Heaven's Garden
is a charming tale full of love and adventure that illustrates the power of God's love. It is the first book in a new
series of Christian historical fiction.
