Hey everyone! I hope this finds all of you doing well. I apologize for my long absence here on the Chronicle. It seems like I'm always doing that, doesn't it? What can I say? My life has been a whirlwind of busyness the past several weeks, not to mention that my computer is getting old and doesn't always cooperate with me when I'd like to get online and update things. I'm hoping that Santa will bring me a new computer for Christmas (hint, hint!) Seriously, though, I'm sorry it's been so long since I've written.
Since it has been awhile since you've heard from me, I thought I'd give you an update on where things stand with the new publication of Heaven's Garden. There have been some new developments where that is concerned. My new publisher, Capstone Fiction, has been forced to change its name to Oaktara Fiction, due to some complicated circumstances. Because of this, they are now in the process of reprinting all of their previously published works under the new name of Oaktara. The upshot of all this is that it will push my publication date for Heaven's Garden back by several months. It will most likely be sometime in late 2009 before Heaven's Garden is available for purchase again.
Needless to say, this has been very discouraging for me. Like most human beings, I don't like to be kept waiting, especially when I am waiting for something good to happen. But I have learned to accept it and realize that God has some reason for this delay. So I'm going to trust that He knows best and that eventually my book will be released and in stores.
The other big news for me is that last week I celebrated my 30th birthday. I can hardly believe that I am 30 years old! Where has the time gone? I still feel like a teenager sometimes! But I'm thankful for the time God has given me on this earth and I hope that in some small way I've been able to make a difference.
Speaking of being thankful, Thanksgiving will be coming up later this month, and I hope you will take a moment to be thankful for the many blessings that God has given you. Remember, there is always something to be thankful for, even in the darkest of circumstances. If you're going through a rough time right now, just know that God has never once left your side. He's right there, waiting to hear from you.
Until next time, my friends. God bless you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.

Praise helps us keep our minds on God, His power, and the good things that are taking place in our lives. It is proof that we believe He can and will help us.
